The Fabulous 50s Softball Team

Fabulous 50's Game July 24, 2010

The Fabulous 50's traveled to Schaefer Athletic Complex up in Denver.  Their first of three games was against Pitchers.  Both teams scored in the first inning, but, it was defense the next 4 innings that had the game at a stale-mate until a rally in the 6th put the Fabulous 50's ahead for keeps.

The second game was against the Renegades.  The Renegades hit hard and long, but, the Fabs kept the door open the entire game. In the 6th the Renegades rally for 5 runs.  Although the FABs did have a short small rally in the 7th, but, too little too late.

The last game was against an upper division team Scrap Iron Diamonds.  The Fabulous 50s jumped out to a lead and never looked back.  The Scrap Iron Diamonds kept it close and enter the top of the 7th only down by 3, but, couldn't bring it home.

A NEW Senior Softball League is being formed in Colorado Springs, Colorado.  It will be for local teams no traveling out of the Springs required.  If you are interested and are at least 48 years old or older Go to sign up or get additional information.
